Types of Self-Awareness

Public Self-Awareness:

This is when you are aware of how you appear to others. For example, when you are talking to a group of friends.

When you are aware that you are being watched and evaluated, you often try to behave in ways that are socially acceptable and desirable.

Private Self-Awareness:

This is when you become aware of some aspects of yourself. For example, feeling your heart flutter when you see someone you are attracted to.
